Long Island Small Dog Boarding
TLC for little doggies...minis, toys and teacups.
Loving care for small breed dogs—15 pounds and under

As a stay at home doggie mom/graphic designer with two little Yorkies of my own, (one under 4 pounds) I understand the unique needs of these little bundles of joy as well as the concerns of pet parents.

I became The Doggie Nanny several years ago after having difficulty finding a safe place to board my own little dogs.

If a small dog is a member of your family, you know that they require lots of love and TLC—but what happens when you have to leave town? Where can you send your little doggie to get the special attention they are used to?
  • To A family member who is not used caring for little fur babies?
  • To a dog boarding kennel that takes all sizes and breeds?
  • To your vet who will keep your baby crated except for a few potty breaks?
  • Should you keep them home alone waiting for a dog walker or pet sitter who visits your home a few times a day?
If you live on Long Island, there is a happy alternative—
Linda—The Doggie Nanny!

The Doggie Nanny only caters to small breed dogs. Minis, toys and teacups have their own special needs which most dog boarding facilities and doggie day camps are just not equipped for.

Walk your dog on St. Patrick's Day!

Come out and join us on Sunday, March 14th at 2pm for the 76th Huntington St. Patrick's Parade! It's a great day to dress up your little dog in Irish attire and get out for a walk! Over the past 76 years, the parade has grown to become the oldest and largest on Long Island. While there are only a few folks around who remember that first St. Patrick's day parade, they will tell you that it is the day Huntington puts her best face forward and everyone has a wee bit of Irish in them. Each year up to 50,000 current and former residents jam Huntington Village for this wonderful family and community event. Hope to see lots of dog lovers there! PARADE ROUTE: Starts just North of the Huntington Rail Road Station on NY Avenue (Rt 110) and continues to Main Street where it turns West and ends at St Patrick's Church. long island dog boarding with the doggie nanny

One of todays little guests

Here is one of our little guests in our house today-- on the couch with Skjegg, enjoying a bone. Her name is Foxy. A real little cuddle bug. She just snuggles into me when I pick her up. She has been playing with the other little guests and fits in our current little pack. Long Island Dog Boarding for Small Breed Dogs

Stevie - One of my all time favorite little dogs!

Tonight I put together a little video of one of my favorite little doggies. His name was Stevie and he had an extended stay with me as his mom settled into her new home in St. Martin. He was a special dog, a Scottish Terrier who seemed to look into my eyes and read my mind. My boys and I fell in love with him.

Eventually, the day came for him to return to his Mommy. I delivered Stevie to her hotel. Below you will see my videos of Stevie at our home, and his return to his Mommy. I hated to see him go!
