Tiny Dog Boarding on Long Island with The Doggie Nanny

Long Island TINY Dog Boarding
TLC for little doggies...minis, toys and teacups.
Loving care for small breed dogs—15 pounds and under

www.doggienanny.com

I became The Doggie Nanny over 10 years ago after having difficulty finding a safe place to board my own little dogs. My family and I have a pet friendly, cage free home where we provide loving care-- exclusively for small breed dogs--15 pounds and under.

If a small dog is a member of your family, you know that they require lots of love and TLC—but what happens when you have to leave town? Where can you send your little doggie to get the special attention they are used to?
  • To A family member who is not used caring for little fur babies?
  • To a dog boarding kennel that takes all sizes and breeds?
  • To your vet who will keep your baby crated except for a few potty breaks?
  • Should you keep them home alone waiting for a dog walker or pet sitter who visits your home a few times a day?
If you live on Long Island, there is a happy alternative—
Linda—The Doggie Nanny!

The Doggie Nanny only caters to small breed dogs. Minis, toys and teacups have their own special needs which most dog boarding facilities and doggie day camps are just not equipped for. Our home is tiny dog friendly!  Our tiny guests are treated like family during their vacation with us.  With a fully fenced in yard with special synthetic doggie grass, every one can go out for supervised play and potty times.  We have weewee pads for those trained to go indoors.

2016 Masquerade Ball for Little Shelter of Long Island

2016 Masquerade Ball for Little Shelter of Long Island.

I had such a fun evening at the Little Shelter Masquerade Ball and Fundraiser!
We enjoyed great food, dancing and lots of raffels. Held at the Westbury Manor.
Here are some photos of the event.

Finding Inspiration for The Doggie Fashion Show of the Year in NYC! | The New York Pet Fashion Show

Getting inspired for the 2014 New York Pet Fashion Show!

(Formerly know as the Pre-Westminster Dog Fashion Show)

How do you get ideas for a new design?

The theme of this year's NYC Dog Fashion show is

"Crown Jewels of Fashion and Rescue"

One way to start a new design is to look for inspiration from the past.
I found some images for inspiration for a doggie gown
If I have time, I plan on sewing a few costumes.

To start, I have some embroidered silk that I think would make a beautiful skirt to a doggie gown, with a coordinating silk for the bodice.  I pulled some bling from my embellishment box and began to work out a design.

This is where I started:

And the final result:

When I think of "Royal" red velvet and white silk seem to come to mind immediately, so I think I will have to create something in that color scheme too!
